What is a Prophetic Healing Appointment?

These prophetic healing sessions are simply prayer sessions/appointments that are being offered to those in need of physical, emotional or spiritual healing and also those that need encouragement in the process. When we say ‘prophetic’ we simply mean hearing from God which is what prophecy is. According to scripture we believe that God does heal and has given us the authority to heal the sick and cast out demons according to Matthew 10 and that we can all can operate in the gift of prophecy (refer to 1 Corinthians chapters 12 & 14). We see this exemplified (prophecy and healing) several times in scripture either together or separately. When we say prophetic healing sessions and meet on these calls we are asking the Holy Spirit what He wants to say to the person and come in agreement together with the word of the Lord as well as believing for healing over their needs. Jesus along with the disciples did this all the time (using the gifts of the spirit to bring transformation to people’s lives because they knew the ONE that lived in and through them). Obviously, prophetic healing sessions is probably more modern-day terminology but completely aligns with scripture (we wouldn’t do it any other way).

Another example is 2 Kings 5, the story of Naaman. Naaman suffered with leprosy and their maid at the time recommended that Naaman go and visit the prophet Elisha for healing. As we read along, Naaman did just that and Elisha (through his messenger) told him to dip his feet in the Jordan seven times (v.9) and then he was healed (v. 14). This story also shows that God doesn’t always do things we think they should go.
